Join Us for a Special Conversation Celebrating Gilroy's Historic Downtown!
The Gilroy Historical Society and the Gilroy Downtown Business Association invite all candidates and community members to a special event celebrating the launch of the new downtown walking tour and the installation of building plaques.
📅 Date: Sunday, October 20, 2024
🕑 Time: 2:00 PM
🏛️ Location: Old City Hall Restaurant, 7400 Monterey Street
Enjoy appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages, with a no-host bar available. The event features a conversation between Bonnie Bamburg, the author of the Historic Resources Inventory, and Jeff Orth, President of the Gilroy Downtown Business Association.
This celebration marks the unveiling of new plaques for over 30 buildings in our historic downtown, recognizing the successful restoration of unreinforced masonry structures and the vibrant new businesses they now house. Our co-sponsors for the plaques include Visit Gilroy, the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce, and the Gilroy Downtown Business Association.
📝 RSVP by October 15 to Connie Rogers at 408-842-8494 or jrogers@garlic.com to help us ensure there’s plenty of food and drink for everyone.
